How to find a husband in Algeria

Time for a little bit of gossip.

Beauty Mani, pictured sitting on the left, is part of the SRSA team running the 2010/SRSA exhibition at the Algiers expo centre. Being a rather pretty lady, she caught the eye of a guy (or he caught hers, I'm not sure) from the Algerian Judo stand opposite the aisle, and soon the two were chit-chatting away merrily. Next thing, she had a marriage proposal from him! Unfortunately the lobola was a bit on the high side so the poor chap couldn't afford it. But he's been plying her with all kinds of niceties, including bringing over a portable DVD player so she can watch movies!

Just as well they're keeping the South African female athletes safely locked up in the athletes village...
