Welcome!

Oops...

cojasnap It's about 10.30pm here in Algeria, or 11.30pm SA time, and I've just noticed a very, very worrying thing on the COJA website... South Africa has slipped to third place in the gold medal count with 52 medals, behind Egypt (60) and Algeria (57). Talk around the dinner table this evening didn't speak about wads of medals having been won today, so I'm hoping there's a sport code somewhere who've forgotten to send in their results. We'll know in the morning.

This is beginning to feel like Amazing Race!

** Update: Below is the medal count I received from the Team South Africa office; it's actually slightly lower than the COJA website count. However South Africa still has some spare ammunition as a few good medals are expected from rowing, while the wheelchair basketball and women's football teams are both playing in the finals.
